A bicyclist remained in critical but stable condition on Monday, after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Thursday evening in Aurora.
The victim, 58, was apparently riding a 10-speed bicycle on Liberty Street east of Farnsworth Avenue around 5:44 p.m. when he was struck by a red pickup truck.
According to police, the truck drove off after the incident. A chrome front grill was left behind.
The truck is full-size, and similar to a Ford F-150, police said.
Following the crash, the victim was transported to an Aurora hospital with critical injuries, and airlifted to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
