Cash stolen from holiday party guest in Montgomery

Someone stole hundreds of dollars from a party guest during a holiday event in Montgomery last weekend, police said.

According to Montgomery police, the guest was attending the holiday gathering in the 1200 block of Douglas Road when an envelope containing $500 in cash was noticed to be missing from a jacket. The incident is under investigation.

OSWEGO

Someone stole an electric welder and an oxygen tank, worth $2,400, sometime between Tuesday and 1:23 p.m. Wednesday from a home in the 300 block of East Washington Street, police said.

KENDALL COUNTY

Thousands of dollars worth of cash and tools were stolen from a business in the 2000 block of Route 34 sometime between 11:10 a.m. Dec. 20 and 6:40 a.m. Monday, deputies said.

MONTGOMERY

Someone reported on Dec. 18 that $3,000 worth of tools had been stolen from a business in the 1100 block of South Lake Street, police said.

YORKVILLE

Rick Fermazin, 48, 600 block of Tower Lane, Yorkville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and prescription medication after police found his car in a ditch around 1:30 a.m. Monday in the 0-99 block of West Veterans Parkway, police said.

A juvenile pedestrian was injured around 6:21 p.m. Tuesday after she slipped and fell into an oncoming vehicle, police said. Police said the incident occurred near Cannonball Rail and Route 34. The victim reported that she slipped, and fell into a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old Yorkville woman. The driver had the right of way, police said. No tickets were issued. The victim was taken to an Aurora hospital for treatment of her injuries.
