No one was injured this weekend in four separate shootings that occurred in Aurora.

The first incident took place around 3:45 a.m. Saturday when a home in the 200 block of Stuart Avenue was shot at and damaged.

According to Aurora Police Department spokesman Dan Ferrelli, a vehicle parked in the home’s driveway was also struck.

Witnesses were unable to provide details about the shooting, but reported hearing a vehicle speed from the scene after the shots were fired.

Ferrelli said the damage was set at $1,500.

Ten hours later, at around 1:45 p.m., gunfire erupted again. This time, in the 1200 block of Second Avenue. Ferrelli said two groups of men had a brief conversation outside a building in the area just before the shots were fired.

According to witnesses, one group of four men seated inside a parked gold, Dodge Caravan was approached by a group of four men on foot.

Following the short conversation, the men on foot walked away from the scene, police said.

Ferrelli said the Caravan drove a bit further east on Second Avenue, and one person inside the vehicle allegedly fired a single shot into the air.

Ferrelli said no one was injured, and nothing was hit.

Sunday’s two shootings occurred just five minutes apart, shortly after 11 p.m., Ferrelli said.

Police were called to the 1100 bock of Bonner Avenue around 11:05 p.m. after receiving a call for shots fired in the area. The caller also reported hearing a vehicle speed away from the scene.

Police responded and found nothing had been hit, but shell casings were located in the street.

At 11:10 p.m., in the 900 block of Liberty Street, five people reported getting out of a vehicle and being shot at. The victims said that a dark-colored, 4-door Nissan with at least three people inside was driving westbound on Liberty when it pulled up beside the group.

A male Hispanic passenger, around 19 years old, fired multiple shots toward the victims, Ferrelli said. No one was injured, but the home the victims were walking toward was struck by bullets.

Ferrelli said the vehicle turned northbound on Woodruff Street and drove away.

Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call Aurora Police investigators at 630-256-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000.
