Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said Jesus Ernesto Avilas, 34, 200 block of East Washington Street, was arrested at his home on Friday. He faces to felony counts of criminal sexual assault.
The charges stem from an incident that allegedly occurred in the 1000 block of Route 30 in Aurora Township earlier this year.

The victim told deputies Avilas had been an acquaintance of hers when the alleged assault occurred.
On Nov. 13, two charges of criminal sexual assault were approved by the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office. Avilas was taken into custody without incident the following week.
