Vehicle goes through fence, hits Aurora house

A man was treated at an Aurora-area hospital after his vehicle struck a guardrail, went over it and through a wrought-iron fence and rolled over on Wednesday at 12:01 a.m. at East Galena Boulevard and South Smith Boulevard in Aurora.

The man’s vehicle stopped rolling after striking a house in the 800 block of Galena. He was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage, no valid drivers license, no insurance, driving too fast for the conditions and driving on the sidewalk.

Rachel E. Peters, 21, and Darryl K. Cannon, 20, both of the 700 block of Superior Street, Aurora, were charged with felony retail theft and arrested Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. at the Wal-Mart in the 2900 block of Kirk Road. According to a police report, officers who arrived on the scene allegedly saw Peters exiting the store with a shopping cart filled with unbagged clothing, frozen food, DVDs and other items valued at $677.

Andre A. Jackson, 38, 900 block Almond Drive, Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence of an intoxicating compound, a misdemeanor, and arrested Wednesday at an unknown time at North Rosedale Avenue and West Illinois Avenue.

Frank A. Glover, 28, 1300 block South Glen Circle, Aurora, was charged with felony domestic battery and misdemeanor criminal damage to property. He was arrested Wednesday at 12:23 a.m. at South Kendall Street and Second Avenue.

David R. Dokken, 34, 800 block Charles Street, Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor, and cited for failure to reduce speed and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was arrested Friday at 1:48 a.m. in the 600 block of Morton Avenue.

Ashley M. Robinson, 24, and Chariah L. Love, 21, both of the 1200 block of East Wilson Street, Batavia, were charged with felony retail theft and misdemeanor obstructing identification. According to a police report, the women were found allegedly taking merchandise valued at $751 from the Macy’s at 1 Fox Valley Center Drive on Sunday at 3:20 p.m.

Two women were taken to two Aurora-area hospitals with neck pain after a three-car crash occurred Wednesday at 3:44 p.m. at North Ohio Street and Fulton Street. Both drivers’ vehicles were struck from behind.

A woman was taken to an Aurora-area hospital with chest pain after being rear-ended in a two-car crash that occurred Tuesday at 6:40 p.m. at North Eola Road and East New York Street.
