Yorkville police responded to a felony home burglary that occurred Monday at 6:28 p.m. in the 300 block of East Washington Street.
According to a police report, goods worth $287 were stolen from the home, including a piggy bank with about $200 in half-dollar and dollar coins in it.
Montgomery
Jacob Whitford, 18, 100 block Colonial Parkway, Yorkville, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and cited for not having a valid driver’s license, obstructing identification, obstructing a peace officer and resisting a peace officer. He was arrested Thursday at 12:17 a.m. in the 1800 block of Windette Drive.
Aurora
Two women were taken to an Aurora area hospital with injuries after a three-car crash occurred Monday at 4:24 p.m. at Ogden Avenue and Longmeadow Drive. Two cars collided in the intersection, causing one vehicle to strike a third car and run the vehicle off the roadway. One driver reported a broken left arm, according to an accident report, and another driver reported chest, side and neck pain.
Yorkville
A 21-year-old Plano resident was taken to a Yorkville area hospital with injuries after a three-car crash occurred Monday at 5:20 p.m. at Cannonball Trail and Route 34. A car lost control on the icy pavement, striking the rear of the Plano resident’s car, which caused a crash with a third vehicle.
