Two shootings were reported this weekend in Aurora, but no one was injured in either incident, Aurora police said.
According to Aurora Police Department spokesman Dan Ferrelli, the first incident occurred around 1:05 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of South LaSalle Street.
A victim told police that a man knocked on the door of a home around that time, and began to holler something to the victim inside.
When he was finished, the man fired several shots, none of which struck anyone inside the home.
Ferrelli said the suspect was described as a skinny, black man, around 5 feet 3 inches tall, He had a mustache and was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and a black stocking cap. The man was last seen running from the front of the home. He was headed southbound on LaSalle Street toward westbound Center Avenue, Ferrelli said.
Around 3:05 a.m. Sunday, several residents in the 400 block of Maple Park Avenue said they heard gunshots go off, but did not bother to call police. Later that afternoon, a resident reported that his vehicle had been struck by a bullet during the incident, Ferrelli said. The damage was estimated to be $400.
No one could provide a suspect description or further information.
