A Montgomery man drove his vehicle into a pole while he was drunk, then ran way, Kendall County Sheriff’s Department deputies said.
Deputies said Ramiro Portillo-Olivas, 24, 2800 block of Oakmont Drive, was driving near Little Rock Road and Galena Road around 2:51 a.m. Sunday when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a utility pole. The crash caused the pole to break, and caused Portillo-Olvias’ car to stop working.
According to police reports, Portillo-Olivas ran into a nearby field. He was found by deputies and charged with drunken driving, failure to report a crash, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Aurora
Someone stole televisions and game consoles, worth $2,300, from a home in the 400 block of South Fourth Street sometime between 7 and 8:20 p.m. Friday, police said. The suspects also poured bleach around the home, police said.
Dylan Stoller, 19, 2500 block of Oak Trails Drive, Aurora, was charged with felony aggravated battery and four counts of misdemeanor domestic battery at 2:15 a.m. Sunday at his home, police said.
Lionel Russell, 28, 1200 block of Nantucket Drive, Aurora, was charged with felony unlawful restraint and domestic battery at 9 p.m. Saturday at his home, police said.
David Micek, 55, 800 block of Pearl Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no insurance, improper lane usage and expired registration at 12:34 a.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of North Highland Avenue, police said.
Cortez Barron, 39, of Chicago, was charged with a felony for being a child sex offender in a school zone at 8:06 a.m. Friday in the 900 block of Long Grove Lane, police said.
Jasmine Gabler, 22, 600 block of Grove Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance at 7 p.m. Friday near West Illinois Avenue and Oak Avenue, police said.
Adam Black, 20, 1400 block of Superior Street, Aurora, was charged with felony retail theft at 2 p.m. Sunday in the 0-99 block of Fox Valley Center Drive, police said.
Kane County
Gary Williams, 27, 400 block of Moorfield Avenue, North Aurora, was charged with felony domestic battery and two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery stemming from an incident that occurred Thursday in North Aurora, court records show.
Robert Remy, 24, 1100 block of Ridgeway Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony aggravated robbery for allegedly stealing marijuana, a debit card, a scale and a backpack from a victim at gunpoint, while holding an air gun on Jan. 6 in Kane County, court records show.
Kendall County
A shotgun and an iPad computer were stolen from a home in the 0-99 block of Pembrooke Road, Montgomery, sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 8:23 p.m. Friday, deputies said.
Yorkville
Nicole Moore, 35, 300 block of Walter Street, Yorkville, was charged with retail theft, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a revoked license after police were called to a business in the 900 block of Erica Lane at 7 p.m. Saturday for reports of a theft. Police said Moore fled the scene, but was stopped a short time later by Plano police, and subsequently charged.
