A pair of robbers demanded money from two victims while holding them at gunpoint Wednesday evening in Aurora, police said.

The victims, a 27-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman, said they were standing outside a garage in the 300 block of South Lincoln Avenue around 10:14 p.m. when the suspects approached.

The men, who were dressed in dark clothing, allegedly yelled at the victims and demanded money from them before one pulled out a semi-automatic handgun.

The male victim told police he gave the suspects his wallet, and when they realized there was nothing of value inside, the suspects ran away.

Police said the men were last seen running north through the alley.

Neither victim was injured, police said. Nothing was taken during the attempted robbery.

The first suspect was described as a man, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

The second suspect was described as a man between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. He also had a teardrop tattoo by his eye, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Aurora investigators at 630-256-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000.
