Aurora police said a man was drunk early Sunday morning when he was struck by a vehicle while walking along the street.
Jose Remigio-Trinidad was charged with being a pedestrian under the influence following the crash at 1:53 a.m. near North Chestnut Street and West New York Street, police said.
Remigio-Trinidad told police he was walking home from a party where he had been drinking. Police said he did not know where he was.
According to crash reports, Remigio-Trinidad was struck by the mirror of an oncoming vehicle while he was walking in the roadway. He was taken to an Aurora hospital for treatment, police said.
AURORA
Guillermo Morales, 31, 400 block of North Kendall Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving and driving on a suspended licence at 2:14 a.m. Saturday near Spring Street and North Broadway, police said.
Jorge Antunez, 22, 2700 block of Leonard Lane, North Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, speeding and improper lane usage at 4:20 a.m. Sunday near River Road and South Grant Street, police said.
Fabian Garcia, 34, 1300 block of Gates Street, Aurora, was charged with felony drunken driving, felony driving on a suspended licence, improper lane usage, no insurance and disregarding a stop sign at 1:40 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of North Lincoln Avenue, police said.
Someone stole 36 bottles of cologne from the Abercrombie & Fitch store in the 100 block of Fox Valley Center Drive, police said. The cologne, worth $1,944, was taken from a display sometime between 1:50 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Kendall County
Brandon Gates, 27, 9000 block of Ashley Road, Yorkville, was charged with drunken driving, no insurance and improper lane usage after he was involved in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night. Deputies said that around 11:45 p.m. Gates drove his vehicle off the road and into a ditch near Little Rock Road and Galena Road in Kendall County. Gate’s 26-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries, deputies said.
Jorge Gonzalez, 23, 700 block of Westridge Drive, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving at 12:33 a.m. Sunday near Route 30 and Briarcliff Road, police said.
Montgomery
Anthony Gibson, 50, 2200 block of Baker Street, Aurora, was charged with felony retail theft for allegedly stealing $510 worth of merchandise from a store in the 2000 block of Orchard Road around 12:45 p.m. Saturday, police said.
