A Kendall County corrections officer was allegedly head-butted by a prisoner Saturday morning, leading to charges being filed.
Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said that Brandon Niford, 30, was charged with felony aggravated battery for allegedly assaulting a correctional officer around 8:27 a.m. at the jail.
Aurora
Juan Galvan, 22, 0-99 North Grace Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance at 9 p.m. Wednesday near Palace Street and West Illinois Avenue, police said.
Antoine Coulter, 26, 0-99 block of North Kendall Street, Aurora, was charged with felony defrauding a drug/alcohol screening at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of North Highland Avenue, police said.
William Murtaugh, 54, 1300 block of Crestwood Drive, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended/revoked license and improper stopping at 12:40 p.m. Thursday near West Galena Boulevard and North Middle Avenue, police said.
Ruben Schultz, 29, 0-99 block of South Fordham Avenue, was charged with drunken driving, no insurance and improper lane usage at 3:51 a.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of North Highland Avenue, police said.
Kendall County
Orlando Rivera, 58, 500 block of Chestnut Drive, Oswego, was charged with drunken driving, speeding, no insurance, improper lane usage and driving with one headlight at 2:10 a.m. Saturday near Grove Road and Plainfield Road, deputies said.
Ronald Conner, 67, of Roselle, was charged with drunken driving and improper lane usage at 2:12 a.m. Saturday following a traffic crash in the 6000 block of Reservation Road, Deputies said.
Jonathon Hock, 19, 300 block of East Franklin Street in Big Grove Township, was charged with drunken driving, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving on a suspended license at 12:54 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of East Franklin Street, police said.
Yorkville
Two people were injured in two weather-related traffic crashes this weekend in Yorkville, police said. The first crash occurred around 8:20 a.m. Saturday when a vehicle skidded on some snow and drove into a ditch in the 3200 block of Cannonball Drive, police said. The second crash occurred around 12:38 a.m. Sunday on Corneils Road in Yorkville, police said. The victims in both crashes were taken to Aurora hospitals for treatment.
Oswego
Jeffrey Roe, 27, 500 block of Heritage Drive, was charged with drunken driving at 6:17 a.m. Saturday near Route 34 and Fifth Street, police said.
Terri Detraglia, 50, 300 block of Beaver Crossing, Oswego, was injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday near Route 34 and Chicago Road, police said.
