An Aurora man was charged with driving 111 mph in a 50 mph zone early Friday morning in Kendall County.
Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said that Daniel Arciga, 23, 300 block of All Spice Court, was driving near Route 30 and Gastville Road at more than twice the legal speed limit when he was stopped.
Arciga was taken into custody without incident at 5:45 a.m., deputies said.

Several pairs of boxing gloves and a computer were stolen between 10:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Thursday from a home in the 300 block of North Kendall Street, police said. Jewelry was also stolen from the ransacked home after someone broke a window to gain entry.
A mountain bike, worth $1,000, was stolen from an open garage between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Four Seasons Boulevard, police said.
Sergio Jaquez, 24, homeless, was charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Front Street, police said.
Josue Ortiz, 19, 0-99 block of Boulder Hill Pass, Montgomery, was charged with drunken driving, no license, illegal transportation of alcohol and disobeying a traffic control device after he was involved in a two-car crash at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday near South Broadway and East Downer Place, police said.

A floor scrubber, worth $10,000, was reported stolen from Meijer, 2700 block of Route 34. Police said the incident occurred on Oct. 28. It was reported on Friday.
Richmond Plumley, 22, 3700 block of Minkler Road, Yorkville, was charged with drunken driving at 2:56 a.m. Saturday near Route 34 and Douglas Road, police said.
Oswego police said that four vehicles were broken into on Wednesday while they were parked at the YMCA , 100 block of East Washington Street.

Yorkville police are investigating an attempted arson and criminal damage to property report that was made at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 200 block of Tuma Road, police said.
